Laura Shadle announces campaign for Centre County Jury Commissioner

Centre County Democratic Jury Commissioner Laura Shadle will be seeking re-election to the office this year. Shadle was appointed to the position early last year, upon Jason Moser’s election to the position of Centre County Controller.

“My love for and devotion to the people of Centre County is boundless. I have been blessed to serve in this office and want to continue in this work.” Shadle said.

Shadle is inherently and deeply attuned to the needs of the county’s constituents, both personally and politically. A county native, Laura was raised in Pleasant Gap, and worked for her father’s small insurance business for a number of years. She studied English and Philosophy at Penn State, and has been a fixture in the local arts and music community. Apart from working as Executive Director for the Centre County Democratic Committee, she has devoted much of her time to supporting and contributing to the local arts and various community organizing efforts around Centre County. Currently, Shadle lives in Bellefonte, PA, and runs District Outreach for State Representative Scott Conklin of the 77th Legislative District.

This creative, dedicated, and proven public servitude will inherently inform the position, overseeing and ensuring a fair and just process for every resident of the county. Shadle would be honored to continue serving her constituents, and looks forward to aiding in the commitment to democracy.
